The Subclass 888 Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa is the ultimate legal destination for 188 visa holders, serving as the final confirmation of your commitment to Australia's economy. The Business Innovation Stream (888A) is designed for those who have actively managed a business in Australia for at least two years. To secure this grant, you must demonstrate a minimum annual business turnover of AUD 300,000 in the 12 months prior to application and satisfy at least two of the following three criteria: net business assets of at least AUD 200,000, total personal and business assets in Australia of at least AUD 600,000, or the employment of at least two full-time Australian residents. Additionally, you must have been physically present in Australia for at least one of the two years immediately preceding your application.
The Investor Stream (888B) focuses on individuals who have successfully maintained their designated investment of AUD 2.5 million for at least three years. Strategically, the key to this stream is proving that the capital has remained "at risk" and compliant with the investment framework throughout the duration of your provisional stay. Furthermore, you must satisfy residency requirements, which generally necessitate living in Australia for at least two of the four years immediately before lodging your permanent residency application.
